Under the leadership of Sandra Magaña, director of Chican@ and Latin@ Studies Program, and Timothy Yu, Professor of Asian American StudiesProgram, the Ethnic Studies Programs at UW-Madison have created anamazing consortium of Ethnic Studies scholars to create our EthnicStudies Week of educational and creative events to educate, remind, protest, and remember why Ethnic Studies is an important part of our elementary, middle school, high school and college curricula andhow this knowledge became included as a formal part of education. The collaborative energy that is happening at UW-Madison is invigorating and empowering.
